We are proud to play a part in the community life of our employees, where small contributions can make a big difference and have important impacts. That’s why we established the John Maxwell Menzies Community Fund. In addition to our primary charitable activities, this Fund allows for and supports our teams with their own fundraising events and community projects.
Hutchison Vale U15s is an Edinburgh-based youth football team and were in need of a new team strip for 2016. John Menzies plc were delighted to help fund this through the John Maxwell Menzies Community Fund. This is the second time we have supplied kits for the team in the past 4 years, and we are looking forward to another great season!
2nd Stenhouse Rainbows; Rainbows are the youngest Members of the Guiding family with 5 - 7 year olds. Some of the Community Fund was used to take 24 of the 2nd Stenhouse Rainbows on an overnight stay at Achengillan Scout Centre this year. Archery Lessons, crafts, grass sledging and many other fantastic activities were provided thanks to the John Maxwell Menzies Community Fund.
Comrie Golf Club; The Community Fund also allowed for Comrie Golf Club to acquire quite a bit of kit including: 2 full Try Golf sets, Balls, Putters, Chippers, Flags, Holes, Target Circles, Feet alignment aids, oversized foam balls and a Carry bag for the kit.
