John Menzies plc today announces that Menzies Aviation has agreed to acquire MMA Consolidators Pty Ltd, (MMA).

 

The Johannesburg based MMA will be integrated with Menzies AMI business. AMI is the world's largest trade-only airfreight wholesaler and this acquisition is the next step in its rapid expansion plans. MMA has been AMI's service partner in South Africa for the past 2 years and its main markets are Africa, USA, Europe and UK.

 

As at 28 February 2007 the business had gross assets of £1.84M.
