John Menzies plc ("the Company") was notified on 1 February 2007 of the following transaction which took place in the UK:

 

Mr Macdonald exercised options under the savings-related share option scheme over 2,683 ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company on 1 February 2007 at an exercise price of 286p per share, which he is retaining.

 

Mr Macdonald's beneficial shareholding in the Company following this transaction increased to 21,578 shares (0.04% of issued share capital).

 

This notification is made in accordance with Section 324 (as extended by Section 328) of the Companies Act 1985 and Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules sourcebook.
