BAA awards MAG staff Coaching Contract at Heathrow Airport

John Menzies plc's aviation division, Menzies Aviation Group (MAG), has won a five-year contract with a total turnover of £17 million to supply coach services to and from BAA staff car parks at Heathrow Airport.

The contract, awarded by BAA plc, will transport some 17,500 staff each day between the staff car parks, airport central areas and passenger terminals and will use a fleet of 30 coaches running a 24-hour a day schedule. The service, branded Connect2Work, builds on MAG's existing relationship with BAA that provides airside passenger and baggage transfer services between Heathrow Airport's existing terminals.

Mervyn Walker, Operations Director of MAG, said: "To win such a prestigious contract at the world's busiest international airport is another coup for MAG. Our successful tender was based on the quality of the passenger coaching services we already provide at Heathrow, the advanced level of technology and information we can provide and the all-round value of our operation."
